Women of Washington Wearing Julia Farr

Ann,

I’m writing you from my family vacation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  I haven’t been swinging across the mountains on a zipline or been slamming down a river on raft (great pics, by the way!), but I have taken a few good walks on the beach, kayaked while my kids paddle boarded and sat by the bay at sunset having margaritas with friends.  A really fun week! As we wrap up all this summer fun, I thought I’d share just a few of those photos I mentioned a few weeks ago — of the Women of Washington wearing designs from my shop out and about in our Nation’s Capitol and beyond.

Here are few from the first year:

Editor-in-Chief of Capitol File Magazine, Kate Bennett, wearing a linen gown from OR by Angela Chen to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (The Washington Post, April 30, 2011)

Jennifer Tapper wearing a navy Robin Brouillette gown to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.  Photographed here with actress Elizabeth Banks

Poshbrood Founder and writer Elizabeth Thorp, wearing a silver Halston top with actor Rob Lowe at premiere of E! reality show “Potomac Fever.”

AP Photographer Victoria Will holding a Kara Ross disco python clutch at her engagement party.

(Photographed by fiance, photojournalist Lucas Jackson)

PureSkin owner, Amy Boyce wearing ADAM by Adam Lippes gown at the Corcoran Ball

Janie Haynes of Julia Farr in blush Halston top. Photographed with jewelry designer Meredith Merrill.

(Not sure who handled wardrobe for the rest of the group!)

Caroline Scullin wearing Rachel Roy with Melanne Verveer, Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues

(Freed Photography)

Honeymooner Katie Tierney Blando wearing navy Milly tunic on Lake Como

It’s really fun to see where our dresses go when they leave the shop — and the beautiful women who wear them so well.  So if you are sitting on the dock of the bay wearing something from Julia Farr, snap a photo and email it to julia@juliafarrdc.com. Until next week, Ann.  Back to vacation…
