It’s great to be back! Recovery from our 25th Reunion only took me 3 weeks. I’ve regained my lost voice and established regular hours of sleep that begin before 3 am. And after stabilizing, I hit Holiday and Pre-Spring market that is happening now in New York showrooms. I saw beautiful collections from Ports 1961, Raoul, Catherine Malandrino and Max Mara Studio and Weekend. For both Holiday (out on the market in October and November) and Pre-Spring (which hits our floor in December and January), orangy-reds, whites and shiny blacks dominated the collections. At Max Mara, navy and whites were the story for Pre-Spring. I snapped a few photos of pieces and collections at Catherine Malandrino and Max Mara to share with you. Except for the completely fabulous strapless raffia dress from Ports (that apparently is flame resistant!), the pieces were, for the most part, just lovely wardrobe additions to wear to your holiday party or bridge that season between the depth of winter and first signs of Spring. Here we go:
The smaller seasons at market continue to showcase the trends of the bigger landmark collections of Fall and Spring. So where I didn’t uncover an earth-shaking new take on fashion, I found some great pieces to freshen up our wardrobes in the winter months.
But for now, it’s back to summer in Washington, DC!
